Welcome to Rock Lake Elementary School!
Rock Lake Elementary School is a great place for learning where we strongly believe “Knowledge is Power”. We appreciate the fact that you have entrusted us with the responsibility of educating your children. It is a responsibility that we take seriously and we endeavor to do our very best to ensure your children’s safety and success. We promise to do our part in providing a nurturing environment that empowers your children to be great citizens. At Rock Lake, teachers are committed to collaborating frequently in order to plan and deliver effective classroom instruction and we will utilize various Social-Emotional Learning strategies to engage children in their academic pursuits.
We value your partnership in your children’s educational journey here at Rock Lake. Please continue to help your children to understand the importance of being nice to others as we promote a safe learning environment for all. The Student Code of Conduct provides guidance for following school and district behavior expectations. Please take the time to read The Parent Compact for great information about our school. As you know, when children are not in school, they will miss out on learning very important concepts. Please ensure your children attend school promptly and regularly.
Your participation in various district and school events would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to call or come to the front office to get additional information about ways you can get involved in your children’s education. Furthermore, we have a Parent Engagement Liaison who is available to answer any question or concern you may have.
It is our honor and pleasure to be your partner in educating our children. Thank you for your partnership. Together, we will do great things because "Knowledge is Power!!".
Sincerely,
Mrs. Melanie Simmons - Master Principal
Shamica Chambers - Assistant Principal
Allyson Prince - Assistant Principal
